Let's make a DIY Pebbles Flintstone costume today - this won't be the Pebbles Flintstone costume with the green shirt and blue bottom - it's more of my take on what Pebbles might look like....more of a live action Pebbles....this was just the baby costume we needed to finish outfitting our little Flintstone family.

You might of already seen it, but I made my husband into Fred and myself into Wilma! This Pebbles Flintstone Costume DIY Tutorial was definitely my favorite though! It's quick and easy and so cute for your little cave baby:)

Costume Materials:

  • Animal Print Fabric (I used the leftovers from Fred's costume which I found at the thrift store).
    • We also often have a variety of animal prints at KnitFabric.com where we sell high quality fabrics, at better prices, with flat rate shipping.
  • Scrap of White Fabric
  • Hair Clip
  • Stuffing
  • Hot Glue Gun

How to Make the Halloween Costume:

Dress Step 1: Cut out your dress costume pieces. I made the Pebbles dress a bit flared at the bottom instead of straight like Fred's. With your fabric right sides together sew part way up each side leaving room to sew an armhole. Sew across the dress shoulder seams.

Dress Step 2: Use your pinking shears to cut a nice zig zag across the bottom. That's about it for the Pebbles dress - it's pretty simple!

Pebbles Costumes Bow

Well, now Pebbles needs a cute little bone shaped bow for her hair. Here's what I did to make one:

Bow Step 1: Cut out 2 bone shaped pieces out of the little piece of white fabric. I just ended up using a small piece of white woven scrap fabric I had laying around.

Step 2: Sew around the edge of the bone leaving a gap to turn it right side out and stuff it full of fluff.

Step 3: Turn the bone bow right side out and stuff with some fluff. After that, just hand sew the opening shut.

Step 4: Hot glue to a hair clip and you're done!

Pebbles Flintstone is complete. Anne loved her pebbles flintstone costume and I hope you can make a Pebbles Halloween costume that works for your daughter too! If you have a boy then you might have to go with Bam Bam!

Make Sure to Make the Whole Flintstone Family

I hope you enjoyed this DIY Pebbles Flintstone Costume. Don't stop here though! We have the following tutorials for Fred and Wilma Flintstone too:

(1) Wilma Flintstone Tutorial: The Wilma Flintstone Halloween dress tutorial was pretty simple. I just used a white bedsheet and made a simple Wilma dress that I wore over a brown shirt. I made the classic Wilma necklace out of some paper and plastic wrap.

(2) Fred Flintstone Tutorial: Our Fred Flintstone costume for Halloween was made from the same thrift store material that I made Pebbles out of. The Fred costume is a simple costume with one seam and holes for the arms and head. I rounded it off with a simple blue tie.

This was a great family Halloween costume! I hope to see what you make - come share it in our Peek-a-Boo Pattern Shop Facebook Group

Happy Halloween from Bedrock!
