Of course, it is even better if the bib is cute, too, right? There are so many cute patterns and tutorials out there that I rounded up 15 for you. Some are practical, spaghetti-proof bibs; others are so cute that I wouldn’t use them for anything but drool and maybe Cheerios. You need both kinds, right?
These DIY patterns make great baby gifts for a new mom needing some baby accessories. As every mom knows, you can never have too many bibs. This is a great beginner sewing project and the pattern comes in an infant and toddler size! You can download the pattern and get some fabric, a snap, and some basic sewing supplies to get this free bib pattern put together in no time.

If you need a simple bib to keep your baby clean and druel free throughout the day then we have you covered there too. Keep baby dry in style with this darling bandana drool bib! This free pattern is available at Peek-a-Boo Pattern Shop and is a good project for a beginner.
4. Fold Up Travel Bib from B is for Boy Creations
This bib is designed to be be folded down and has a snap closure so that you can enclose the hidden pockets inside when traveling. Fill the hidden pockets with essentials like baby wipes, toys, etc. and use this when you’re out and about. Get some cotton fabric and put these together in no time.
5. Full Coverage Bib From Trina Holden
If your child is a particularly messy eater then they may need something that covers the whole body. This bib is designed to be easy to put on and take off but to give more full coverage. It comes with pattern pieces and is recommended to be used with terry cloth (she uses a terry cloth towel). The step-by-step tutorial makes this an easy sew for an absorbent bib.
