Sizing for the Backcountry Balaclava Sewing Pattern

The Backcountry Balaclava is for children and adults. It fits heads from 20-24" with five included sizes.

*The Backcountry Balaclava is designed for ages 2 and up. Children under age 2 should not wear anything that covers their face for safety reasons. The Balaclava should not be worn by anyone who cannot easily pull the mask portion below their chin without assistance. Supervise young children to ensure proper use.

The primary fabric for your balaclava should be a polyester-based knit with at least 40% stretch. Good options include fleece (micro, blizzard, anti-pill, etc.), athletic knits, sweatshirt fleece, etc. You might be able to use fabrics with less stretch if you size up.

For the binding fabric, you can also use polyester-based knits with at least 40% stretch.
